Who organizes the parade?
The Cortana Kiwanis Christmas Parade is organized by the Cortana Kiwanis Club of Baton Rouge and the Kiwanis Club of Cortana Baton Rouge Foundation, Inc. The Parade is a fundraiser of the Kiwanis Club of Cortana Baton Rouge Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization. A portion of your support of the Christmas Parade may be tax deductible. You should consult your tax advisor.
The Cortana Kiwanis Club meets every Thursday from 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. at the Piccadilly on South Sherwood in Baton Rouge. Visit cortana-la.kiwanisone.org for more information about the club.

How can you support the parade?
Perhaps the most wonderful thing about this parade is the fundraising aspect, which supports charitable projects right here in Baton Rouge via the Cortana Kiwanis Foundation. If you’d like to support the cause but can’t attend the event, there are many other ways to get involved! You could:
– Sponsor the marching bands
– Sponsor a float for your favorite charitable group
– Buy VIP bleacher tickets – $25 each
– Donate and become a “Friend of Kiwanis”

What groups does Cortana Kiwanis support in the Baton Rouge area?
Cortana Kiwanis Foundation has announced that over the next 3 years, the net proceeds from the Christmas parade will primarily benefit the Baton Rouge Children’s Advocacy Center and the Baton Rouge Youth Coalition. Each charity will receive one-third of the annual net proceeds from the 2023, 2024, and 2025 Christmas parades. The remaining one-third will be allocated to providing grants to other charities in service to children that apply for support.

Yes, there is a required safety meeting for all participants. The information is listed below.

What items do I need to turn in?
The following items need to be turned to reserve your spot in the parade. You can either fill out the registration form on the website, or print out these documents and email them to elf@christmasinbr.com:
- Application
- Liability Waiver
- Parade Rules
- Company/Organization logo (vector)
- Vehicle registration, insurance and driver’s license
- Payment – can be mailed into PO Box or payment online with a credit card
